India Recycling and Re-use Council (IRRC)
Making India a global hub in Reuse and Recycling Council
About
IESA had launched the India Recycling and Re-use Council (IRRC) in January 2024 to take forward our members' interest in market research, policy advocacy, R&D and collaboration within the battery recycling and second life industry. It opened up opportunities for the recycling industry to interact with Advanced Battery manufacturers and Battery component manufacturers. We have 20+ dedicated battery Recycling & second life players as part of the 200+ members community of IESA. We have been engaged at multiples levels with various relevant ministries/government bodies such as Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change (MoEFCC), Ministry of Mines, Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), Niti Aayog, Central Pollution Control Board(CPCB) and other stakeholders. In order to keep abreast with the latest advancements in the recycling/re-use space and to support our members better, we also host a monthly working group meeting. Members can use the IRRC platform to make presentations about their ventures, connect with the industry and drive national policies for a robust battery recycling and re-use ecosystem in India.
