Mahindra & Mahindra has announced that its electric vehicle (EV) subsidiary, Mahindra Electric Mobility Limited, is going to unveil the 'future of mobility' in the form of six new EVs at the upcoming Auto Expo 2018. The products to be showcased at the motor show will include both production and concept models and a few of them are expected to be launched soon in the market as well.

The company has also teased two all-new electric vehicle concepts in a recently released video. One of them seems a basic four-seater commuter vehicle while the other one looks like a sporty two-seater small car.

Aside from these concept models, Mahindra is expected to showcase the electrified versions of its popular SUVs, including the KUV 100, Scorpio and the XUV 500. Mahindra Electric, during a presentation in December, also announced some specifications of three of its upcoming electric cars with their sketches.

Unveiling the details, Mahindra Electric Mobility's CEO (chief executive officer), Mahesh Babu, said, "We will have three new products (in the EV or electric vehicle space) which will be high-performance ones,"

The first model in the picture is clearly none other than the electric KUV that company said will provide a range up to 350 kilometres along with a top speed of 180kmph. The company also mentioned that the model will be capable of accelerating from 0-100kmph in just 9 seconds.

The second model is what speculated the compact electric SUV based on the SsangYong Tivoli - S201. The model will offer a top speed of 150kmph along with a maximum range of 250 kilometres and will be capable of achieving 100kmph from the standstill in 11 seconds.

The last sketch in the presentation looks the XUV Aero which was unveiled as a concept model at the Auto Expo 2016. This could be the company's flagship performance electric vehicle with a 0-100kmph sprint in just 8 seconds and a top speed of 190kmph. It will offer a range of 300km on a single charge.

On the other hand, the testing of electric Scorpio on the Indian roads was confirmed by sources, according to some reports.

Besides the range of upcoming and concept electric vehicles, Mahindra will also display the new SsangYong Rexton and other updated models at its Auto Expo pavilion.

More information on the upcoming products will be revealed during the press conference at the motor show on February 7.
