India’s first lithium polymer embedded battery facility set up by Adit Infratel

dit Infratel Pvt Ltd, the company behind brand Advent and a leading player in the mobile accessories and peripherals market, has announced the commencement of India’s first and only lithium polymer embedded battery manufacturing facility at Manesar, Haryana. Involving an overall investment of Rs 25crs, the initiative is part of company’s Make in India strategy promoted by the Govt. of India to boost local manufacturing, reduce dependency on imports and create large scale impact on the domestic economy through job and wealth creation.

Spread over 10000 square feet, the state of the art facility has an installed capacity of 60,000 mobile batteries and 20,000 mobile chargers per day. With the commencement of Manesar facility, the combined manufacturing capacity of Adit Infratel including the unit at Parwanoo, HP, will stand at 95,000 mobile batteries, 25,000 mobile chargers and 4000 power banks per day. The company aims to generate Rs.335 crs in revenues from the facility over the next4 years.
 
Commenting on this significant development, Mr. Vikram Kalia, Director Sales & Marketing, Adit Infratel Pvt Ltd, said, ‘ We are one of the largest players in the OEM mobile battery segment and the  GoI’s Make in India campaign has provided us with the right impetus to become a dominant player. The state of the art unit at Manesar set up at an investment of Rs 25 crs adds another feather to our cap by being the first and only lithium polymer embedded battery facility in the country. It  will allow us to augment our local manufacturing capacity to cater to the exploding demand for smartphones and also produce more efficiently, thanks to greater control over the entire chain. We hope to significantly increase our topline to Rs 335 crs over the next 4 years by leveraging our existing OEM relationships with leading brands and also forging new ties.’  Adding to this, Mr. Pankaj Sachdeva, Director & Promoter, Adit Infratel Pvt Ltd., said, “This was our Vision since the beginning and it has come true at the right point of time. Setting up a factory like this would definitely help the domestic handset manufacturers with mobile batteries of global standards. With setting up of this unit we can say that we are even ready to cater to the demand of the International markets and would be looking forward for tie ups. Some of them are already on the phase 1 of discussions.”
