Tata Motors have reportedly bagged a project to supply 25 units of its BS IV-compliant Starbus Hybrid bus to Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA). The bus was showcased at the recently concluded Auto Expo 2016.
The announcement was made during the "Make in India Week" today in Mumbai. Using CNG and electric in series hybrid mode, these buses are Low Floor City Bus and are powered by High Power Li-ion Batteries with energy storage capacity of 11 Ah or 3.74 kWh Maximum. It comes with a Full Pneumatic Suspension at front and rear with kneeling facility and Floor Height of 400 mm.
