According to a report from TOI, the company is looking to ramp up its monthly electric vehicle production capacity from 200 units to 5,000 units, over the next two years. The current line-up of the company includes e2O mini auto, e-Verito sedan, e-Supro mini passenger vehicle and e-Supro load carrier.
The company now makes batteries that allow cars to run between 100 and 140 kilometres on a single charge. While M&M imports battery cells, it assembles the battery packs in India at its facility in Bengaluru that can do 400-500 units per month. Mahindra is also working on a 32-seater electric bus which is expected to be introduced within next two years.
