Tech Mahindra, an Indian Multinational IT company, and Power Ledger, a new blockchain startup from Australia, are collaborating to test a new service in India, integrating the peer-to-peer Power Ledger platform with microgrids.
Microgrids are gaining a lot of popularity recently because of the increased flexibility, efficiency and cost-savings they provide in energy generation, distribution and management.
According to Finance Magnates, the new service is going to be called “microgrid-as-a-service” or MaaS, allowing people to set up their own microgrids and manage them using Power Ledger’s blockchain platform
