Conference on Achieving 175 GW Renewables by 2022- Journey So Far
By 2022, India is targeting the installation of 175GW of renewable energy capacity, an ambitious target that will require a four-fold growth in the sector. The huge demand push from the government through its programs, reverse auctions and lowering costs of turbines and solar panels have contributed to significant reduction in the price of electricity generated from renewable. However, many challenges remain which are still being worked upon, viz. installations of rooftop solar, Local Manufacturing, Financial support for Deployment and Integration of Renewable Energy into the Grid, Energy Storage.
On this backdrop, Ph.D. Chamber is organizing Conference on Achieving 175 GW Renewables by 2022- “Journey So Far” on 7th March 2018, 09:45 am at Ph.D. House, New Delhi. The purpose of the conference is to highlight the opportunities, challenges in the renewable energy sector, get insights into the future renewable procurement plans and to examine the technology options and strategies.
