India Electric Vehicles Conclave -2017
India has the vision to become an all-EV nation by 2030. In a step towards mass adoption of electric vehicles in India, the central government plans to introduce 10,000 electric buses and 50,000 electric rickshaws, besides pushing for thousands of battery-operated cars and two-wheelers, on Indian roads. Under this plan, it is expected to save 9500 Million Litres of crude oil.
The government of India has announced various incentive schemes for manufacturers to set up facilities for making lithium-ion batteries. Import duty on batteries was cut to 4% from 26%. However, despite these policy initiatives, there are issues like capacity building, lack of standards for recycling or disposing of batteries, High Cost of battery, inadequate EV Charging infrastructure and connectivity which need to be addressed for rapid diffusion of electric vehicles to 1.3 billion Indian populations.
On this backdrop, PHD Chamber is organizing an “India Electric Vehicles Conclave -2017” on 22nd December 2017, 09:45 am at PHD House, New Delhi
The objective of the conclave is to discuss the opportunities, technical aspects, and concerned issues at a single platform for the growth of E-Vehicles industry in India.
